Rooted in Regeneration, Designed for Connection

Every garden tells a story. My design practice focuses on transforming small spaces into abundant, resilient, and beautiful ecosystems. Whether it’s a townhouse front yard, a shared courtyard, or a family backyard, each plan balances aesthetics, ecology, and human experience.

My designs emphasize:

  • Native and edible plantings that support pollinators and soil life

  • Child-friendly spaces that invite exploration, learning, and wonder

  • Permaculture principles that create harmony between people and place

Backyard Vertical Garden

Maximizing productivity in limited square footage, this design layers vertical trellises, container systems, and a solar food digester to recycle nutrients on site. A native passionflower vine is trained to climb up the shed, using the roof’s reflected light as a natural growing aid—turning structure into opportunity.

The plan integrates edible vines, compact raised beds, and multipurpose features such as benches and tool storage, demonstrating how even a small yard can yield abundance through thoughtful, regenerative design.

Design Focus: Vertical growing systems, waste-to-resource loops, urban resilience

Native / Pollinator Children’s Garden

This design creates a welcoming sensory garden for children and pollinators alike. By blending native perennials such as coneflower, primrose, and turtlehead with culinary herbs, the space becomes both productive and playful.
Curving pathways invite movement and accessibility, while layered vegetation supports birds, bees, and butterflies. Soil health and air quality improvements are woven into the plan, making it a living classroom for ecological care.

Design Focus: Native pollinators, children’s sensory engagement, ecological restoration & healing herbs

Gera’s Garden

Gera's garden is based on the idea that even a small, overgrown space—with invasives and a struggling Dogwood tree—can be transformed into a thriving native oasis. By blending native plants, herbs, and familiar landscape species like forsythia, this design brings balance between beauty and ecological function.

Lettuces are placed conveniently near the home’s entrance for easy harvesting and protection, surrounded by low-maintenance fencing that defines the space and keeps it practical.

The result is a garden that proves how restoration and abundance can coexist, turning an ordinary yard into a resilient, living system.
